Are dating apps a bad way to meet guys?

Wasted many years of my life trying on those dating apps. Every woman I dated, had a relationship, or even texted from those dating apps disappointed me in the end. I'm picky but learned the hard way that out in public approaching is better. For me as a guy that's been my experience.

A woman though on dating apps your experience could be very different. Just being a female on there you're going to have tons of guys throwing themselves at you sending you messages daily I'm sure. You have to be smart though and filter through those guys and find the one that's not only for you but a good guy that's nice and actually wants a relationship in the long run, treat you respectfully, and wants to get to know you. Make sure you have that talk with him asking "what are you looking for?" It's important to ask a lot of key questions on those dating apps before ever having one date.

Me being a guy on a dating app unfortunately struggled for years sending tons of messages to all these different women to either get barely any responses back, or get disappointed from their messages. The messages being really short responses because she was probably responding to a hundred different other messages quickly or she just didn't take it seriously like I do.

When does it fall apart for yoou with dating apps? Do you not get many messages or likes? Do guys lose interest after a few DMs? Can you never move past the DM phase? Do you get first dates but they don't turn into second dates? Where is the problem?

God's honest truth, it's not the best place but it's also not the worst. I can tell you now there are some guys on dating sites who want an actual relationship but there are also a lot of guys that are only there for hookups and sex. Plus even if you did find a really good guy on a dating website there, it doesn't change the fact that the relationship will take work.

Best way would probably to go to events and meetups of things you like or hobbies, etc. Since they will be there, it's very possible you will have the same interests and things to talk about. Males only use dating apps to get pics or sex most of the time.

How is your profile? Pictures? Bio?
Do you get matches? How does the messaging go?

A lot of girls in my age group and area, especially on Tinder, don't put enough effort into their bio. Hence why I asked that question.

And girls lol. They generally are a waste of time in my opinion, and especially for guys. I think women can get more "success" as they have more "options" available (more guys than girls on them I think and lots of "fake" profiles). But with patience and time, it is possible to meet someone genuine off them. But I think very few take it seriously in any way, and tend to act really immaturely because of it (and can get away with it, vs if you met them in person).
