Have any of you dated a person who doesn’t like to text?

As in you text to plan a date, but also may result in not talking to them for a few days?

If a guy is only texting you to meet up and days later you don’t hear from him? He’s not interested. A man who’s interested in you may not sit on the phone all day texting but he’s going to check in everyday.


“Hey, how’s your day?”
“Hey how are you?”
“Just checking in to say hello”
“Good morning”
“Good afternoon, I’m going to call you later.”
“Good night”
“Hey, hope you have a great day today.”


It doesn’t take much to send in a message to let someone know that you’re on their mind. A man that’s not interested in texting will compromise to show you that he’s interested. If he’s not a texter then he will say:


“Hey I don’t like to text I’m going to call you instead.”


A guy saying he doesn’t like to text and not finding an alternative is basically saying “I’ll see you once awhile when we plan dates. I said I don’t like to takes because I’m not that interested and I’ll make time for you when it’s convenient for me.” I guarantee he’s making time for the woman he’s interested in. When the conversation is getting shorter with you then it’s getting longer with someone else.

I guess we’ve only been out on a handful of dates. We aren’t exclusive and the texting has been like this from the beginning. All of his messages are positive and when we were in person he told me that he liked me.

Anyone whose dated me knows what it’s like. For me it would be a feeling of relief. But everyone seems to like texting more than me.

My biggest issue is I overthink. So, texting takes me forever. I’ll write multi paragraph texts.
