What job would you like your partner who is female to do?

I would say housewife or stay at home mom would be cool, or CEO/ businesswoman. But really, whatever job she's decent at and enjoys and hopefully earns some money from... with some exceptions, I'd probably be cool with her working most types of jobs.

Nurses would not be my ideal in the sense of them being around sick people all the time, probably high stress, and they can often work crazy hours. I wouldn't want to marry a cop, as again, crazy hours sometimes, and often they're put in dangerous situations (let alone stressful ones). I wouldn't want to have to constantly worry "Is she coming home tonight?"

Probably someone working with toxic chemicals, or dangerous drugs, like testing hazardous strains of some disease and then having to test different medications - I'm a germaphobe, so I'd probably hate having that in the back of my mind.

My job might have some crazy hours - I'd hate to never be able to see her if she had the same thing going on. Jobs where she was constantly busy or had to go out of town... I'd probably have trouble adjusting to that.

But... with those exceptions... if she really wanted to do it, I think we'd try to make it work (even if she was a cop or something, I'd still try to make it work. I just don't see myself dating someone with an existing job where there's high risk, that's all).

My wife is a children's librarian.

I never had too much pickiness about their job... I would have only dated a girl long term if her job didn't become a burden on us seeing each other or spending time together or as long as I didn't have a relationship/moral objection to her work.

Medical/doctor/law... there is a good chance we'd rarely see each other... she'd be working long and odd shifts like 2nd and 3rd shift or her work would dominate our life... she'd be working 60-70 hours, always on call and have to dash off for work right in the middle of family time. There is a high chance I would avoid someone in those fields.

Model/Actress. I morally object to those fields... half naked all the time to be gawked at, kissing scenes, nude scenes... off at a filming locations months at a time. I would never have gotten involved with someone in these fields.

Housewife. She'd have to do something and bring in some money. I'm not going to be at work all week and her just off free all the time bringing in zero family income. She could stop working while kids were young but once they are in school go do something for a job.

Teacher seems to be the best fit out of the options.

Either something medical like a Nurse (which is actually what I was going to say before I even seen the poll) or Music like a singer and/or pianist. I also wouldn't mind Food service, like a Baker or a Chef, as well.

A teacher would be fine by me (that's what I do), but a female lawyer or judge would be a total turn-off! And I wouldn't want to date a corporate chick, unless she owned her own small business. It's highly unlikely I'd get a model or actress, and highly skilled female doctors only date other "high earning" men.

I was with a nurse's assistant for may years.
To be honest their schedules are horrible. The rotating shift work really causes problems in a relationship especially if you have kids.
She gone all night, she sleeps half the day, and she's always tired and out of it.
I was happiest when he was on maternity leave for two years. I paid all the bills while she looked after our baby. She got bored of that eventually and wasn't home much, and didn't like cooking or cleaning.
After that I dated an elementary school teacher for two years and that was a much more balanced relationship. We got to see each other a lot and her working environment was fairly professional so I didn't have to worry much about her cheating.

With no other information, I'd say model because then you know she'd be smoking hot which is important to me. At a similar level of hotness, I'd say housewife/teacher/nurse/medical assistant as from observation, women to do those roles tend to seem much happier and relaxed and have a better energy. If she's unusually chill, I'd say doctor/surgeon.

I am pretty open regarding careers. I definitely do like to date women with at least a somewhat established career, because they seem happier and have a better sense of identity in my opinion.
