Do modern women have impossible standards for men?

Especially when they are young. At high school, I have seen them dating only the tallest or richest guys, with sports cars/bikes. Those guys had two-three girlfriends and they all seemed happy. At college, I have seen classmates hooking up with movie/Sports stars (the most pretty once and average and below-average girls with guys older than them (3-20 years gap), some with businessmen or restaurant, club owners. Even the no so pretty girl was in a relationship with the best-looking guy at college. If you have been in STEM, I think you will agree with this somehow. STEM girls don't want most STEM guys.

In early stages of life, pretty much. I remember in high school girls only wanted to be with guys that looked like Justin Bieber, or the ones who were great at sports, but money at that time wasn't that important. I think that when they are young women tend to look for biological perfection, which means trying to find the most attractive partner. As they get older, other things like money and social status start to become more prominent but as some sort of negotiated attraction, never genuine.

The problem is that, in the past, without the advent of social media and the internet, it was easier for men to reach women's standards. You see, the standards didn't change at all, women from the past still wanted to be with the most famous guy, the richest of the village, the tallest among their group. Women from the past were not very different from women of our generation.

What's happening now is the rise of the competition levels among men, which is leading us men and women to insanity. Let me illustrate: Lets suppose you're an Indian mathematic teacher, 5ft10 who lives in a distant village and have a great job at a prestigious university. You make a decent figure salary and is well known for your amazing classes. In this hypothetical scenario you have it all, you're taller than the general Indian dude, you have social status, you have money, you have the "trinity" so it's very easy for you to get a partner and find love in the end.

But let's suppose internet and Instagram steps in. Now you have to compete with an European or American teacher, he's taller than you, hotter than you, wealthier than you, he lives in some urban area and have thousands of followers on social media. In this scenario, which guy do you think the women of your region would want to be with? No matter how great partner you are, you would still have a hard time in this scenario. The competition between men was regional, but as soon as the Internet came to our lives, it became global and some dudes realized that for most of them it's just impossible to compete.

It’s an evolutionary response and it’s always been around. Females want the strongest genes for their offspring and a mate that can support or protect. In high school, this translates to atheistic tall males with symmetrical features because these characteristics are markers for the genes the male will pass on and his ability to provide and protect. As they grow older, their view changes slightly so that wealth plays a more predominant role in their selection process because money can buy both food, shelter and protection. If money and looks are in the same package, so much the better for them.
Males on the other hand have been programmed to impregnate as many females as they can to pass on their genes.

Yeah, that was for animals and cavemen. Modern educated women are still following the same, and in the wild men don't take care of their offspring. They mostly kill them. As those men are doing the same, single mothers are rising.

Not our fault if you can't meet a woman's standards. If she wants a partner with money, and you work at McDonald's or don't know how to save money, that's not her fault. If she wants a gut who's physically fit, and you can't run a block without getting winded, that'd not her fault. If she wants someone attractive to her, and you're not attractive to her, that's not her fault.

Its not impossible standards, they're just standards. Only difference is now we can have a real say in the matter without being shamed to high hell.

Then you are telling lies to feel good about yourself, most women too want both physically perfect and wealthy guys. Those men mostly waive the wealth of women in dating. An average guy can never pull off perfect beauty for a long time if he's not rich. However, the situation changes as people age but they actually don't love the person but settle. Women, in general, spend way more money on beauty than men and it's okay for society even if it's not earned by her. When women are young, they can drain a lot of their parents' money into their grooming, a similar age guy will not be allowed to do that. By the way, when do men start liking no breast or ass?

Almost every girl wants the best that will fuck her and will reject guys in her league that would want a long-term relationship her. However, that is unrealistic, if seeking a long-term relationship, because guys date down for sex, but they almost never marry down.

It is not until after dozens of one night stands and some going nowhere relationships that she will finally realize, she must look for a guy that will marry her and not just fuck her. Then her problem is, by then, she is approaching age 30, has lost her bloom, and they guys she rejected when she was 10 years younger, no longer want her because they are seeking girls like the sexy, young pretty girl she was at age 18 to 22.

So in summary most guys will be miserable till 30 and most women will be miserable after 30.

Whether age 20 or age 30, guys find it difficult to get girls that are 20, because they are in high demand and they can be and they are very choosy. However, at age 30, if a guy is looking to date girls near his age, then yes, it is easy because based on the law of supply and demand, a girl that wouldn't give him the time of day at age 20 will jump at the chance to date him when him at age 28.

Not necessarily there are plenty of decent women with reasonable standards. That being said if you only go for the most attractive and successful women while only being average or just a margin above average then it's no surprise that many of them would reject you.

I'm not saying this is you because I don't know what kind of women you pursue but I see many men complaining about women having high standards while they have high standards themselves.

So in essence I have seen plenty of men being romantically successful even if they're not tall or rich. The biggest thing is to work on yourself, go for women based on compatibility, and be realistic in the kind of women you pursue. If you do this then I'm confident you will be successful with women.

Many people are developing the same issue. People have become so self important and self absorbed that they are not living up to their own standards. But people are unwilling or able to accept they are. Because of this many people on a basic human level are well below the basic standards of being a worthwhile good human being.
