Trending & News Both. I workout for health reasons and to get me chicks. I also get a haircut every three weeks because I hate long hair. Have a ton of cologne too because I like the scents and I feel like it’s an extended image of yourself (but I do get a lot of compliments). Each scent is different, so I wear whatever I feel like that day. Same for clothes. I hate the thought of me smelling bad, so I get scented hair products as well. I’ve been called a “pretty boy” before (as cringe as that sounds, but who the hell wants someone who stinks and doesn’t care about themselves?
I dress purely for myself. I'm a teacher and can wear anything to work that isn't political, jeans, or open-toed shoes and I still dress business professional (black pants, white button up, and sometimes a necktie). The proper clothes makes me feel like I'm at work, and not lounging around on the weekend.
I’ve decided I need to dress up a bit more and finally ditch the track paints and big baggy jumpers I’ve been wearing when working from home. My god I was even keeping my bed socks on and wearing them throughout the day. I’m getting out of that now finally and dressing up more, I was feeling terrible looking like that. I’ve made this change for myself not for others.
I pretty much dress for work or comfort most days and save dressing nice for special occasions, but I take care of myself for myself. I like the way I feel when I'm in shape and eating right.

I take care of myself, for myself. I dress casually but I will dress up nice every once in a while if I’m going on fancy-ish dates.
A bit of both, really. Let's not be liars. Although there is this belief that women dress to impress other women, not their men.
Having worked for a time as a private investigator as well as worked 'executive protection' (heavily armed) there are times I've done each, either deliberately BEING intimidatingly 'noticeable' or seeking functional 'invisibility' via being comfortingly 'nondescript'. Be wary of persons wearing only ONE WIRED earbud or those who studiously avoid meeting your gaze for exceeding brief eye contact. ;)
I dress nice 100 percent of the time. I never leave the house in casual clothes because I don't believe in it. I do it for myself first but I also have respect for my surroundings. That is something that is absolutely lacking in today's society. People no longer respect their surroundings and therefore walk around like they just got out of bed.
I dress reasonably well while working, but while at home, I prefer to have loose clothes that are comfortable. Good question though we usually dress up for others is how I see because when nobody is around me at home I don't care about what I wear so from this it is clearly evident that I dress up for others
I wear clean, not fancy clothes, usually one of my 798 different fire dept shirts, or my ems pants and dark blue work shirt with the brass depending on my day.
Otherwise it is a t shirt and jeans, always clean unless I'm working in the garage, shower at least once every day, shave etc every day, hair cut is on the first Tuesday of the month.
Blue collar kind of guy.
I dress up because I like the feeling of self-care and as a single woman I want to make sure I always look my best in case I run into my future man. If anyone says “I only do it for me” then they’re not being honest with themselves.
I am a gladiator. A gladiator entertains the crowd. When I sever a man's head from his anus, I do not do so for myself. I do it for other people. For I am a gladiator. We do not do things for ourselves. We are slaves to the arena.
I do it for myself most of the time. I groom myself, i shave, dress good, style my hair, etc etc. it’s meant for me to like the image in the mirror. However its for me and the people who I plan to attract or the person I’m dating
Both I would say, but mostly myself. If it were only for others I would have dressed differently, but if it was only for myself then slightly differently too. I do like to dress nice. I like fashion, makeup and in general looking good.
Myself. I feel like if I go out looking like a garbage bag I’m not going to feel very confident. So if I dress clean and elegantly id feel that way about myself, clean and elegant.
Now days? I do it for myself because I've finally gotten to the point in my life that I like myself enough to care about my appearance. I never understood the desire to want to look good before, but that's really a fun and new feeling for me.
In the past I was always motivated by other people or things outside of myself.
For myself partly. Also because i will get criticised by my parents. Sometimes i don't have the heart to sit through it
By "taking care of myself", i mainly include eating well health wise
I literally don't care what others think of me, but I want to look presentable to myself when standing in front of the mirror.
When once in a blue moon I do decide to dress up, it is always for myself. Same thing with taking care of myself,
Mostly myself. But it does feel good when someone that you care about appreciates the way you take care of yourself.
On the job, even when working at home I am fully shaven and in a business suit. I am on zoom video chats a lot. Right now I am wearing my Georgia Tech Tee shirt with jeans and wearing my crocs.
Definitely for myself but lately (since a good year) I'm looking decent, cause I'm not feeling so good about myself tho
I take care of myself but i dont dressup. I want someone whos okay with being casual 99% of the time as well.
Lol honestly neither. Very little effort is put forth over here. 😂
@Rahul8124 Genetically blessed, what can I say? 😂 jk
For myself. That is why I dress the same when I am home alone as I do when I go out somewhere.
Lately, neither. I've been working remotely for some time and need to remind myself to put on my pants when I go to the store.
I hardly ever dress up but I take care of myself mostly for my wife.
I don't go out of my way to look exceptionally nice. I just try to look decently presentable. 😂
For myself of course. I want to feel nice and then if someone finds my effords attractive then i can say i succeeded..
it depends on where i am going, but i do personally feel that i feel better if i look nice and dress in a better way.
it is nice to get compliments also from others.
I dress basic since I hate shopping but I take care of myself because I feel dirty if I don't.
@Slim57 I take care of myself because I wouldn't want to create problems by lacking hygiene. For clothes, I generally wear t-shirt & sweat pants
I definitely take care of myself and other people because that shows a huge level of attraction
Myself.
I enjoy looking good
I put zero effort into my appearance I don’t like the attention I get when I dress nice and stuff
I guess a bit of both.
For myself and my husband.
I dress and take care of me well, for myself
I pretty much take care of myself.
I dress to be comfortable not for any one else !!!
Myself primarily but others too
Myself cause who really cares
In my case, it's a reassurance.
I do that kind of thing for myself.
I dress nice
