We have all heard women, kids, and dogs are loved unconditionally, men are loved under the condition they provide something. How true is this to you? Are men liked more for what they bring (money, security, stability) or for who they are (personality)

I have heard a man say that they believe men are loved under the condition they provide something. It makes me sad that women or society in general have made men feel that way. For me personally, I can’t imagine only wanting a man for what they bring. I need someone emotionally available, that is a genuinely GOOD man.
I would say there is a mix of both I think everyone wants to good man, but of course, they have to also carry their weight. I think we have put more emphasis on what they have vs who they are, which is why end up in horrible situations. But I do think nowadays women value more what the man brings, there are a lot of good men out there and they never get a chance
