Women care more about that kind of thing, where you go, what you do etc. This is why I'm always amazed how women almost "expect" the guy to plan the dates, because we really don't care usually! LOL I always like to get her opinion, because then I know we are likely going somewhere she'll like, vs me GUESSING (when I probably don't know her at all yet).

What? I mean, you don't get to expect of others what you wouldn't expect of yourself. Girls don't get to sit there and play passive putting all the decisions on him, then freak out when he lets you make decisions for yourself.

Yes, if that's what you expect him to do. It could be that he shows affection in other ways, but if your expectations for how he should show affection are that he plans out dates, it may be best to move on.
