I left her on read?

Was texting a girl I just met… was about to ask her on a date and she took 2 hours to reply to my “how are you?” I just left her on read and stopped talking to her. Does that type of texting turn any one off too? Or do you think that’s rude?

I’m beginning to avoid dating / communicating with woman that take over an hour to text back (especially if they do it frequently, sometimes it’s ok, but not their entire texting style) it makes me dip

From my perspective, yes, you were too hasty leaving her on read and now not bothering.

Now I'd understand if she took days, weeks to reply to your text, as this screams lack of romantic interest in someone. But two hours? No.

I met my ex at the end of high school, I got her number and she took 3 hours to respond to my first text. But it was an interesting reply.
I texted her back usually ranging every 20 minutes to a few hours, as I have a habit of leaving my phone on silent, or not taking it with me a lot of the times when I go out. First couple of weeks of knowing her, I asked her out in person and she said yes. Our relationship lasted until the summer break of 2021.

Also, why are you just texting her, "Hey, how are you?"
I'm being brutally honest, she probably found that boring. You just met her, be interesting! Have some confidence!
You should have sent her one like, "Hey, enjoy that ( insert whatever she was doing) you were doing today ;)?" That immediately peaks some interest.

It's your choice to quit dating altogether, but really send her an interesting text back and arrange to meet up if the vibe is there. You can then talk, flirt with her and see if she reciprocates. Only then will you know if she genuinely likes you like that.

Texting and the internet isn't the real world! It's a virtual world where people can pretend to be this and that. Real life, especially when you're alone with someone is how you get to know them and attraction grows from there.

Texting is, not live chatting. Live chat u sit to chat, texting is something u do on side when u have free time, and it can take hours to reply. You just have to keep balance by taking also longer time to reply it sets speed on wich u text, my brother takes days to reply and that can get fuking annoying but when u need to know info u have to be patient and wait.

Could be she was Busy or was Contemplating more Whether to Text again With you. If it Doesn't feel Right, Move on.
