Do I still persue her after she left me on read?

Her 18. Me 24. We work together. We don't know each other too well. I told a mutual friend of ours that I was interested in her. He went behind my back and told her. (Which I'm okay with. Kind of glad she knows.) When he told her. She she didn't believe him. She said I don't think he's interested in me. We rarely talk. There's never really a good time with the way our work is. We have seconds or minutes near eachother. I try to make as much small talk as I can to get to know her or let her know a little about myself. Never really any flirting tho. Due to the age difference. I don't want to creep her out if she's not interested in me. The other day i had an opportunity to chat with her for about five minutes. got her Giggling, laughing and smiling. But we still don't Know each other all that well. So I figured my best shot was social media. If we can't get to know each other at work, I can maybe get to know her through text. I added her on Snapchat. She accepted and I messaged her. She looked at all my stories. But left me on delivered for a while. Next day, the same thing, she saw my new story. And then left me on read later that day. This makes me think maybe she's not interested in me. Which I don't blame her. We barely know each other. But im confused, why else would I have added her but to message her? If she didn't want me to snap her then why accept me? Why keep looking at all my stories? Im still interested in getting know her. My hopes are that once she gets to know me some more, maybe she'll find an interest in me. Should I keep making small talk like we do? What should I do?
