She left me on read, usually replies but not sure if it had something to do with my last reply?

We were supposed to have a 4th date on Friday but she had to call a raincheck because she felt ill and testing for covid. I thought it was a brush off but I’ve had a sore throat too. She kept messaging after the date cancellation and showing interest, asking questions etc but she’s left me on read since this afternoon.

Was there something wrong with my reply? I was teasing her but not sure if it came across differently?

It's been over a month since you asked this, did she ever get back with you or what? I hate trying to communicate via texting... since it is so easy to be misunderstood. Plus the fact that, like, you were left with just "read" and then silence. That's the advantage of actually talking to each other... Unless they just hang up on you and, well, you then know they are pissed... there is always a closing to the conversation. You know, "Well, I have to get some sleep now, talk to you later?" "Till then, good night!"

Wow, I have seen this over and over when someone jokingly said, "A weekend break from ya, just kidding." It's like they never even read the "just kidding" part, or just totally disregard it. That is one more reason that I hate texting, you can't tell if they misunderstood and got offended. But, perhaps things turned out for the best with you? Do tell.
