Yes... but not sure how much I would care for her father or mother. As a retired military officer myself, when you life that life style ever day its hard to turn it off when your off duty. At some point it is near impossible not to become institutionalized to some degree, which effects your point of view on life in general. Its hard not to become caulis or over cynical when you are forces to deal with the worse society has to offer and the regular.

It takes time and separation to get back to being a normal person again. And for some the exposure to high stress and traumatic situation is something they can never truly get back to who they were, because their life experience is what has made them who they are.

i was in a relationship with a girl whose dad was a Wing Commander (RAF Senior Officer) and he was also a dentist.

There is nothing quite as vulnerable having the father of the girl you are sleeping with doing check ups, fillings, even an extraction. After that a policeman’s daughter etc is easy lol.

Yes, I'd date a cop's daughter and I almost married one before. The love of my life's father was a police officer. A 6'3" Porky Pig looking fella who reminded me of that Toronto mayor who looks like Chris Farley. (I looked it up, the mayor's name was Rob Ford. He looked like that.) He was super nice and a great guy. More like one of those "small town sheriffs" than an Annapolis police officer. I'd never date an actual cop, though.
