Does physical attraction come from day one you see them or does it take time? Do you know from day one if you’re attracted to them?

As a Christian girl, I met a man who has the core values, and is what I’m looking for in a person. We both evangelize about Jesus. And have goals that are similar to each other. Except I don’t know if I’m attracted to him. And physical attraction is important. We’ve been on one date first date we went to a coffee shop had a Bible study, evangelized at the beach, fed the homeless, and worshipped to music before we said goodbye to each other. The day spent was really nice, clearly he is a gentleman and a God-fearing man. I just don’t know if I’m attracted to him and he didn’t ask me any serious questions. I didn’t see a serious side to him, a bit of seriousness is attractive to me. We joked a lot. Maybe I’m adding too much emphasis on date one. He booked a flight again after the date. I’ve told him that I see him more as a friend. But he still wants to give it another try said it would be dumb if he didn’t at least try because he likes me a lot from the first date and that I’m a rare gem. I honestly don’t know if I find him attractive from day one. I don’t date around, I date to marry. Does physical attraction come on day one or do you give it time?

How to determine attraction:
-Have you kissed? Do/Did you kiss often?

-Typically, well valued but fun, become more apparent and attractive as one ages. You guys adherence to fundamental beliefs etc are far beyond most people.
If you have been sheltered within the Christian bubble then it’s likely you will experience some losses with both secular and religious guys. I imagine you pray. I imagine Walking in the Spirit is familiar to you.
-Why don’t you stay with what you know, stop worrying, rest in Sovereignty, and let The Spirit handle it.

No our boundaries are similar, no kissing or cuddling or sex before marriage. We are saving that for our future spouse and honoring God with our purity. We respect the boundaries we have with God in the middle. Maybe I should give it another date. He aligns with everything I want in a man, I just don’t know if I’m attracted to him.

Given your background, sensibilities, applied common sense…. don’t you usually pray your way through these things? Don’t you usually find the scriptures on Subject at hand like marry one In Christ Jesus only for instance?

What does Bible say about attraction? Or define one who is attractive? I guess if you are within those parameters then you walk In and Through The Spirit 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well, there you go. Do you both walk in Fear of a jealous Loving God together or apart. Sounds like a topic for two mature Christians to work through together.

Yes we both walk in the Fear of the Lord. I agree walk in godly love for each other as respect each other as a brother and sister in Christ. Allow God to write the love story, wether it’s him or not to love him like Jesus.

Respect other religions? I respect yours, but judge not, lest he be judged, comes to mind.

If you went on a "date" with him, there must have been SOME attraction, otherwise, why would you go?

I've learned it's not always about looks. It's about what's inside. Being with someone, dating them for an extended period of time, learning about them, tends to form bonds, and those not so attractive on day one, become attractive in other ways that supercede the purely physical, and you learn to overlook their flaws for the compatibility.

Don't be so shallow. It doesn't look good on a Christian woman.

No by means I’m a perfect Christian. I rely on not my own strength but God’s. And I fail miserably sometimes and overthink. Isn’t instant attraction important…? Yes I do pray for these things and talk it over with other beliebers. And I feel like I should give another chance for a second date. Date one isn’t enough to know.

He is attractive guy. When I met him I felt like I met my best friend. We have similar humor, core values, and goals. But I don’t get nervous around him, or have like a spark, or feeling like this is my crush more like a friend. I don’t know, from date one I don’t know if I’m romantically attracted to him like is his image attractive to me like a potential husband.

He found me on Instagram. I didn’t see his message for 3 weeks because I was off of social media. Yes he flew from NY to Cali.

Yes I told him as friends and he still wanted to fly again.
