Age gap calculation?

Are different ages, only numbers, or do age gap, totally influence social life, dancing, party, and dating. What age gap will your family, friends and yourself accept.

The older partner is an example 40/2+7=27 younger

The older, for example, 40/2+12=32

The older, for example, 40-5=35

For my age now, I would only date someone my age or 3 years older. If I were 25, I would probably be okay with someone 3 years younger and 3 years older.

IRL friends said the same 3 years. They would consider another gap if it was love, just only 5 years.

My husband is 16 years younger than me, so I guess that's what I'll accept. Haha. I never thought I'd ever date someone that much younger (let alone marry), but I'm so glad I gave him a real chance.
My friends were mostly fine with the age gap. In fact, a lot of them were super impressed. A few thought it was really weird though, but they've mostly warmed up. When my family found out they did not react well, but they've warmed up over time. His family flipped out when they found out. However, I think that had a lot more to do with them being worried he wouldn't have kids if he was with someone my age because when I did get pregnant they became (completely overnight) totally fine with/happy about our relationship

I prefer to go around 6-7 years each way for a serious relationship. The age gap can make a difference depending on what stage the age gap is it. For example a 10 year age gap is huge for an 18 and 28 year old couple, but that same 10 year gap matters very little at 40-50 age range.

I do the 7 down and 7 up rule. 45-7 = no younger than 38. 45+7= no older than 52. This for only serious long term relationships. But there are always exceptions to every rule.

But any age for sex will be considered for sex only depending on the lady.

At my age, 25 younger is fine (I’m in excellent shape), but 25 older would be problematic since she’d almost certainly be retired and would get very bored with me working while she sits at home.
