Why am I in love with emotionally unavailable men but repulsed by men who want to love me?

I get absolutely turned off by men who actually show care and interes towards me. It almost irritates me...

It could be that you don't think you're worth it. Meaning that emotional unavailable men either treat you how you are use to being treated or how you treat yourself. Which is why you could be irritated at the guys who treat you better than that because you're not use to it or you don't think you're worth it. Therefore it becomes either too much for you or too easily given to you.

Definitely felt this. I’m so used to being treated like a afterthought or second... it’s overwhelming when someone tries to “love” me lol I actually curse them out.

You do not love yourself so are repulsed by those that want to get close to you. The ones that are emotionally unavailable are attractive because they cannot love you and don't want to try. Thus that allows you to avoid facing the lack of self love you have.
