Why do other women compliment me but men don’t?

When I’m out, other girls who I don’t know will come up and be like “you’re so pretty omg” while I rarely get approached by men or complimented by them. Is it possible I’m just pretty to other women?

Because guys are too afraid to be called catfishing. No you´re probably pretty but complimenting women on her looks is considered a dangerous game.
I´ve been learned from feminists beginning at school times and later at university that men should come up with other compliments than about their beauty because those compliments are said to be shallow and sexist.
So I´ve never told a woman unless I didn´t long for some time that I think she´s pretty or beautiful. I rarely approach women because I don´t know any good way to do so and if I do I try to start any situation based conversation just to get their attention and to get know them.
Because you´re probably pretty guys consider you as taken and avoid you.

@SomeGuyCalledTom That´s true, I´m just surrounded by 3rd waves feminists so I take some of their experiences and advices even if I didn´t want to.

nope, guys can be pretty much idiots at a young age.
I think a lot of it comes from what they learn or see their parents do.
Now people are so busy they hardly have time for the basics, much less taking time for the little things.
So they don't learn that it is a good thing to compliment someone just because.

Likely one of these reasons:

1. you’re more “girl-pretty” than “guy-pretty.” So maybe you are more pretty than sexy if that makes sense, your beauty appeals to other girls more.
2. you’re absolutely stunning to where other girls will tell you, but men are too scared/intimidated to approach you. Or they already think you know you’re pretty so don’t want to state the obvious.
3. you’re maybe not that attractive and while other women may be trying to be nice, men have no reason to compliment people they don’t find attractive.
4. Men do find you attractive but you just don’t talk to them as much as other girls, or you seem unapproachable to them for some reason.

Generally people don’t go up to strangers going on about how attractive they look. While they could be thinking it, it’s fairly normal for them not to say anything about it.

Girls will give each other compliments as just a passing thing, but guys give compliments to girls only with a specific intention behind it (to show that he's attracted to her and thereby initiate flirting). A girl will say another girl is pretty and then 30 seconds later forget that other girl exists. A guy calls a girl pretty to her face, he's gonna remember her for a lot longer.

I have zero compliments policy. Any man still foolish enough to compliment a woman places himself at risk of sexual harassment accusations, METOO or being friendzoned. I stopped approaching women decades ago as well. In short, it's just not worth it and more guys are realizing this.

Men probably don't compliment you because they have huge egos and think they deserve to be the top notch. They are jealous they hate women in power. Some men are really odd and hard to understand they can't accept that women have the same rights like them and treat women like servants.
