I asked her out. Now what?

I finally plucked up the courage and asked out the girl from work. I asked if She wanted to go for a drink this weekend and she went all shy and said "I'm actually going on a date this weekend and I'm going to a birthday party but I may be able to do next week. I *will* let you know though."

It all seemed pretty positive, she was smiling and I think she'd been expecting me to say something all day, but I'm not sure what to do now. I gave her space yesterday and I won't be back in work until Monday. I really don't want to smother her and I just found out she only split with her boyfriend a couple of months ago and is still a bit wary of trying anything too serious atm, so I need to take my time.

The question is, do I just wait for her to get back to me or should I remind her after a certain amount of time has passed?
