Is someone constantly swearing at you a deal breaker in a relationship for you?

For me it is a dealbreaker because I think respect is the most important thing in a healthy and stable relationship. If someone swears at you then they obviously don’t respect you.

No. It’s not a dealbreaker, just know the right place, right time for it.

I swear a lot, so does my boyfriend. I think there’s a right time and right place for everything. We don’t swear at each other in a demeaning way, only playful. Plus, if we’re in private, we can swear all we want. In public, I suggest we tone in down.

And in regards to your description, you think people swearing in general is a dealbreaker, or is it only when they swear at you? - Obviously it’s a dealbreaker/red flag if they swear at you but they can still say hurtful things even without swearing.

Occasionally in special circumstances I can deal with it but a guy whose standard vocabulary is swearing to me indicates a low IQ and lack of intellect.

Honey ask me the fucking salt
I would say honey you fucking salt is not healthy for you what the fuck
I would pass it to her and then say I guess we're fucking not going to have a very healthy relationship are we LOL so I hear what you're saying it's not very healthy I hate salt it is a deal-breaker for me🙈

hun, here's the thing that you don't understand about life and people.

My mother married a man who constantly cussed at her, degraded her and put her down. My mother had been happily married to this man for 30 years. The only reason why she is married to him is because she is a push over and can take being cursed at.

I have an acquaintance who has a sister where her husband would make her call him "daddy" everywhere she went. Sure, this may sound like a deal breaker to most normal people, but some people can take being abused, controlled and degraded. Its not a deal breaker for some people.

What is a deal breaker for you, may not be a deal breaker for someone else.

Yes, I like to reserve cursing that falls in the rated R category for anger, slight slips during sex, or if something bad happened to them. e. g. stub their toe on the corner of the bed, burn themselves on the stove. other than that I dont like being cursed at all. Its too abrasive for me.

Even in platonic relationships, I would not be the friend that would find being called a "bXtch" endearing.

I don't think it's a weird things to do it's if the person don't swear at me when angry that I think it's weird, I think they're being hypocritical (if you're angry it's normal to swear at people, not doing it show that you don't show your real feeling).

It is a huge no-no. A partner should never deliberately cuss at you especially out of anger. This form of abuse can later on progress into a more physical form. Communication is an important part of building a healthy relationship, if your partner cannot respect you in this manner, then the relationship becomes more and more hazardous.

I totally disagree, swear words are just words. They can definitely add spice to a bedroom situation. In the heat of a moment, I swear word might pop out here and there and that doesn't mean that you want to respected or loved

You could take it as their habit, but, to swear, one must constantly be pushing themselves beyond their abilities/mental capacity, and that shortens life, in the end.
To be smarter, you have to do muxh thinking, not much muscle motion/movement, which includes talking.
