It doesn't bother me when my boyfriend swears. I think I'd be uncomfortable if he didn't. It doesn't bother him when I swear, either. As long as it's used in moderation, it's fine.
Someone was being very rude to an ex of mine (while I was dating the guy), and he wasn't the type to stand up for himself. So I snapped at the person trying to cause a problem. My then-boyfriend visibly flinched. But at least the bully backed off and stayed away after that. It was awkward to feel like I had to censor myself all the time after that incident.
I grew up in a household where I heard swearing often, so I suppose one could say I'm numb to it. A
Besides, I think anything you say is just words if you don't put emphasis and meaning behind it.

I care. To me, cussing is knd of disresepectful. Many people use it like the words "uhm" or "like". My boyfriend knows I don't like it, so he doesn't cuss in his conversations to me, but his friends and roommates are totally different. He's SO different than these people, but he does cuss when he's around them. Cussing is very demeaning. I don't believe in talking bad about people. I try to focus on the positive, many people who cuss only focus on the negative.
It bugs me when other people cuss too, but I can't control them.
I don't mind occasional swearing, but when it comes to the big guns (sh*t, f***), use it sparingly and in humor. When you just keeping using it - as college guys tend to do - it's a major turn off. It just sounds trashy. I know, I know, people are going to get upset with that. But the social convention is that overuse of swearing IS trashy, and that is how you present yourself when you do it. A guy I'm completely nuts for overused "f***" when I was with him and honestly, I almost walked away. It really bothered me.
In public I am impressed with gals that can avoid the 50c words and employ the $50 words.
In daily conversations, I would prefer this as well but it's not a deal breaker when life stresses are at max.
In private tet-a-tets that are considered foreplay, well then that's a horse of a different color and IF deftly applied to effect max. titilation, then please bring the trash that hardens on.
As long as she doesn't cus like a drunken sailor, inserting swear words 5x a sentence, then I'm cool. I think the main thing for me is it isn't the fact that she is swearing exactly, its the fact that too much swearing makes her sound masculine and not feminine to me.

I'm with bellybuttonlint. I rarely swear because it usually doesn't help, but when I do it has more of an effect because they aren't use to hearing me swear.
occasional swearing is OK but if you use it every sentience than it's way too much. IE: Joe Pesci in the movie Casino.I swear like a sailor.. but call me a hypocrite - it IS unappealing when A GIRL swears!
Of course.. every once in a while.. a well-placed one.. it's okay..
..but when a chick is saying things like "oh f*** that mothefkn' bullsh*t" it is like... O_OOh, I cuss like a sailor when I am pissed. Usually I don't use the F word in normal conversations but when I want to convey my annoyance, it flows like 'f***ing' water. :D
However, if the question was put the other way round, I would be indifferent. I am not in a position to judge a person for cussing considering I cuss like a man myself.I don't mind. My boyfriend doesn't swear a whole lot, and when he does I barely notice it. He's not that bad compared to other people I know :P
It's a natural thing. When we drop something or when we are mad, we just swear.I kind of think it's masculine/sexy to use swear words occasionally. But maybe that's because it makes me think of the dirty things he would say if we were in bed at that moment ;) haha
I really couldn't care less. If he did it in front of my family especially my parents or grandparents or in front of kids, then I'd think it was trashy and I'd say something.
Not really. Whenever my boyfriend swears it's usually at something reasonable and it kinda makes me laugh as well the way he does it.
Not really, no. I find when people swear for absolutely no reason at all, it's either humorous or annoying. But other than that, I don't care.
I prefer that it be primarily kept to when someone's angry or trying to emphasize something. People who just swear all the time are irritating.
Don't mind it at all. As long as he knows other words to use as substitutes if the environment calls for it.
I'm not a fan of it because I don't swear myself. I'd rather he didn't, but as long as it isn't excessive, I wouldn't mind too much.
it bothers me in the pants XD but seriously I would think it was super hot unless she was being obnoxious
I personally don't like hearing swear words too often. It's fine for a comedic effect, but every once in a while is okay.
as long as he is not swearing at me I am fine with it
Wouldn't bother me at all. I swear a lot so he can too.
Wouldn't bother me that much. There is a point where it would be annoying, but for the most part it'd be fine.
I don't think that I'm a fan of it. surely there's alternative words that can be used. Cool if someones angry but otherwise what's the point.
I could really care less. It shows that they're comfortable & I'm cool with that.
i told my girl I don't like it but she never does it anyway. only when she is angry or have too much going on. I hate girls who swear a lot.
My girl almost never swears. When she does it kinda turns me on. I think she doesn't like me swearing most times.
