Should I punish my daughter?

My daughter was at the local pool which is fine but she had to walk home and all she changed into was her bra and t-shirt kept her bathing suit bottoms on with no shorts over top. She is 11 years old.

I believe you should have a talk with her and teach her the dangers of this. Not punish, teach.
I watched a documentary of a young 6 year old who was going to the pool with her friend and the mom slowed her to go downstairs by herself. In the video you see her get in the elevator Alone. She is only wearing her bathing suit no shorts no shirt. You can see her butt. And she’s so small! She has what looks like a towel hanging from her shoulder.
She never arrived to meet the friend at the pool.
She disappeared and was never found.

I find it odd that you ask here if you should punish for this.. why not teach early on the dangers of walking alone. And further more emphasize on the fact that predators are only searching for an opportunity.. even if she were fully clothed so being half naked walking alone just spikes up the danger level to the max.

i've walked around dressed like that or less, but i don't know anywhere you can walk around alone no matter what you're wearing

I would not punish her. But teach her right from wrong. Also, I agree that age 11 is very young to walk home alone from anywhere. What happens if there is some dangerous person out there? Yes, it pays to teach her what could happen.

Have a mom to daughter talk and tell her what she should have done and what you expect her to do from now on. Also for her own good and safety.

Yes but there is a lot of teens walking around in basically there underwear so my daughter being by her self is minor in my mind
