Selfish people cheat. They want to keep their partner and explore their options, which is sad. I don’t believe in accidents and mistakes when it comes to that. When you do whatever with whoever, doesn’t matter if it’s a kiss or further than that, you’re making a choice regardless. A person with any respect or real love for the s/o would let them go before they hurt them. Also, you can’t avoid getting cheated because you can’t stop people from doing what they want to do once their mind is set to it. The only way to protect yourself 100% is stay single.

Cheating happens because someone isn't getting what they need from their relationship. They try and hope that it will eventually change. In the meantime, they get whatever they need elsewhere. Rarely is what they need sex. Most times, it's empathy and emotional support. It progresses to sex.
