The reason is that women often bring very little to a relationship. Her looks are often a major part of what she brings. If she doesn't have that, what does she bring to the relationship that the guy wouldn't already have on his own?
Hate me if you want, (I'm sure many delusional hypocrites on this site will), but give examples of what women usually bring to a relationship that the man doesn't already have on his own? And are any of those things that he doesn't also bring to the relationship?
If she brings love and affection, great! SO DOES HE. She can have kids? Not without HIM too. What does she uniquely bring to a relationship?

Sorry but it's really not that hard, if you are willing to jeopardize your partner's attraction towards you over some cupcakes, you are kinda in the wrong.
I would always put reasonable effort into making myself look attractive for my partner and they should do the same.

I'm sure that's the case sometimes, but definitely not all the time. Not all men prefer the skinny type even though most do. Not all men are that shallow either. I do think there are some that are, though. It's a shame that guys like that exist.
If anyone is willing to leave someone over that, then that tells you everything you need to know about the type of person they are and they are not someone you wanna be with anyway.

I love thick women. If the guy is shallow yes he would but also women do it as well. When a women gains weight let’s herself go firdt let me say I love my ex no matter I’f she’s gain weight which she didn’t. The only reasone I would have brought it up would be my concern is there anything I’m doing wrong il ask is the relationship getting to boring my concern would be health isssue sometimes this happen in it could something tk do with us.
I don’t think it’s specifically weight related, but it’s a part of a larger problem in the relationship. If the woman isn’t taking care of herself then more than likely the guy isn’t having his needs met. I’ve seen so many amazing couples that after marriage or kids, the man becomes a miserable worker drone and his wife is a angry stay at home wife who loses respect for her husband. That’s a recipe for cheating.

There are many men and women who have remained faithful even when their partner has let themselves go. It's not automatic.
