I would be happy with a picnic, or one of us cooking for each other it's more intimate. Don't get me wrong I enjoy restaurants but most of time time I just have salad so what's the point. I rarely eat meat I don't eat white flower and don't use dairy so it's hard for me to pick a place that will have what I want
When my family member or if my partner cook for me, that's the best food for me even if they make a simple dish as it's made with love and put an effort to make me smile. It's the thought that counts.
@exitseven Indeed. It's a beautiful gesture and it does bring people closer. I'd pick this over eating at some fancy restaurant anyday, lol.
A picnic or pub or home party (together with friends in that case) with lots of drinking together is the bread and butter for my wife and me and maybe a fancy restaurant on special occasions like an anniversary.
Mostly we're pub/Izakaya (like Japanese pub) types on nights out.
My wife and I are also somewhat heavy drinkers. We love to drink and eat together.
I went for the picnic on that list although typically pub/Izakaya is my thing (not quite a fancy restaurant but not fast food). I'm not a particularly romantic type all the time and more of a fun-lover, so I tend to be bad at setting the most romantic stage for a home dinner unless it's a special occasion, and likewise, I tend to not be in the mood for something so fancy most of the time for a similar reason. If it's home cooking though, I prefer to cook and set the stage.
I picked the PICNIC option because it is the closest to my answer. However, my favorite type of dinner date would be one where we cook together. Added bonus if we are teaching each other a new dish.

Homecooked meals definitely. I'm not too big on going to restaurants especially fancy ones. Also if someone cook for you/you cook for someone, you/they put time, energy and effort in it to cook something they/you like.
I voted A but I think if I cooked a meal for somebody it would be epic. I would cook a standing rib roast with potatoes and vegetables. I would bake my own apple pie for dessert.
Date cooks dinner. If she over cooks my New York Strip, or Porter House, or Filet Mignon. That is cool the first go round. Consequent rounds, it's charcoal briquets on my time. It don't matter if it's Wal-Mart or ALDI's, I make it right. And she will love it, especially when I do rare venison.
I like a fancy restaurant with nice lighting, it just always sets the mood.
I'm always the one cooking for people so it'd be nice if they cooked for me or we cooked together.
While I like dinner and a fancy restaurant on love cooking for my partner.
I'd actually prefer to cook WITH my date, but these are still fun options :)
I have always loved a picnic where we each bring something we have made.
I would say a nice steak medium rare from Don Shula steakhouse in Miami Florida you can’t go wrong with that place
I'd say we cook together. It could be fun 😊
