While it's possible just a fun trip to take together and doesn't have anyone else to go with, I'd be talking with him and just confirming you are on the same page still as far as what this "relationship" is and how you both feel. It's also possible he's started getting some feelings for you (I wouldn't make this assumption though, talk to him) and just assumes you feel the same way.
