Why do women only wanna be friends with guys they find attractive?

I really don’t get this I’ve run across a dilemma where some of the women say I’m their type but only want to be friends. I can get over 100 matches on tinder so I’m above average but I’ve come across women like this recently. I wonder if they think I’m a fuck boy or I just want sex? I have no issue with being just friends with a women but this scenario is still odd. Why don’t they want to be friends with guys they aren’t attracted to?

They are attracted to you, they just want you as friend for now so they can have options. Keep you in the friend zone until your number is called. A couple years can go by and she’s tried of the stupid guys she dates & being not treated good, she’ll turn to you giving you a shot of being her boyfriend. Very few women will genuinely want you only as a friend but not many. A friend of mine waited 4 years in the friend zone til she changed her mind and now they dating. It’s frustrating when they do that. They want options
