Find a way to blast the song “it’s my life” by Bon Jovi every time you are tempted to compare yourself to someone else. You might also consider looking at online profiles in the city you’re moving to, sort of to advance scout the new location and see what’s on offer. Dating sites are not even close to the only or even a good means of seeing what’s out there, but it’s a start and you can do it where you are.
