How soon should you meet the parents or introduce them to your parents?

I was just commenting on something about this and well I personally want to meet the parents early on, cause I believe it's a fact that you don't just bring someone home, unless you mean it.

So that way you can safe yourself time, cause I will say that anyone who doesn't want you to meet his family, has no good intentions. (Unless it's an exceptional case, with an awful ass family)

And personally I only introduced one person to my mom and my family and that was also really early on.

I never understood the importance of meeting the parents. Them liking or not liking my dude wouldn't make a difference because I’m still going to date him if i like him. So i always introduce the guy to my fam while he's still in just the crush/classmate/coworker/friend stage. He may not even know that i like him yet but my fam always knows just in case haha. My mom often nicknames them “future son-in-law” (when they’re not around) lol until she can remember their actual name. 😂

And for actual time limits, this is usually within month 1 that they meet my mom or sis or friends

I must say, when they would hate each other I would question dating him but if they just don't like each other that much but can still get along and be respectful , I would still date him tho haha

My guys have always respected my fam but they also know how to politely call them out on their shit. Now no matter how polite, my fam still got pissed and expected me to side with them. But they are my past and i almost always side with my future (especially if i feel his statement is in the right)

I think it depends on how important your parents are to you. If you don't really associate with or talk to your parents, having them meet the person you're seeing is relatively minor. Also if you live far away it might be impractical. My parents didn't meet several of my sister's boyfriends and it took close to 4 months into their relationship to meet her current boyfriend. That's because she lived 8 (now 18) hours away from them, so it wasn't easy to visit, just to see her boyfriend. In contrast, since I live with my parents, my parents met my girlfriend fairly early on, and the same with me and her parents, since she also lives with them.

I think about three months into a relationship is probably the right time to start meeting family.

If you live at home, I’d say whenever they wanna meet the guy. But if you are out on your own, then whenever you are sure that this guy may be Mr. Right, and not just a great “Mr. Right Now”! I think most women know within a month or two, so that’s where I’ll stick my pin. Between one and two months! Obviously, no sooner than a month, but most assuredly before the end of month two!

When i have the feeling of him being the only one , i want to do that in the 2nd month so we can prepare examples: what advice of how raising a baby, how to learn other in laws , what shoukd we do to them etc

My kids? The adults have only had one relationship and I met the partners early on. If he/she loves my kid, I'll love them back.

Really depends on the family. For me, I didn't introduce my boyfriend to my family before we had been dating for about 1.5 years, but that was purely because my parents are very religious. I didn't meet his parents until 1 year into the relationship, but that was just because we were young (still are, but you know), and were trying to figure out how to go about it.

Involve them early. Family can be a good way to tell if you are actually compatible or not, and they can make good chaperones.

There's no right or wrong answer but in my opinion I would suggest introducing your partner to your parents when you get engaged unless you cannot keep it any longer to yourself.
