Why are there close male/female friends who act like a couple but aren’t together? Are they attracted to each other?

Yes it’s likely they’re at least a bit attracted to each other but one or both of them don’t want to introduce sex/dating into the mix for some reason

I had a lot of female friends in the past and i never considered going into any romantic relations with them. That meant risking my friendship with them.

I'd say it's cause they're super good friends who simply aren't attracted to each other. I have plenty of friends like that. For some of them, we even joke about being in a relationship but we're not attracted to each other we're just super close.

Usually no. Not in a romantic way. It's like from day 1 we could both understand each other and be our truest self. There's a comfort zone. Very rarely there will be a moments where he takes great care of me... like when I said I needed a good coffee and he drove to my house with his expresso machine and made me one lol 😆 but I think it's just bc we value each other's friendship. He's currently dating someone and I've helped them not break up a few times lol

i love my galpal and i totally find her attractive. i just wish she didn't have an std. i knew her before she contracted it and was a crazy sexy polecat and i didn't want to date her then either because she would have broke my heart. Similarly im really attracted to my friends girlfriend and we flirt sometimes but it would just cause everybody a lot of pain if it went any farther than that. eventually you realize somethings you want aren't actually going to make you happy.

If they've been friends for years all through childhood, they're used to hanging out together to the point they look like a couple, but they probably see each other as more like family than friends.
