Boyfriend pushes me during arguments?

My boyfriend sometimes pushes me during arguments not hard enough to make me fall but he’ll push me in our room to talk or grab me if I’m just done with the conversation and want to get up and after the argument is over he always will tell me he would never hit me is this a sign he might get abusive in the future?

My fear is that it might escalate.
You have to determine what you will and will not put up with.
Me I would not put up with that at all.
What's to say that next time he does that you trip over something and fall and hit your head on something.

He has no right to push you or lay a hand on you in that way. not your boyfriend or husband. There is a reason why he has to assure you that he won’t hit you because he comes off as a guy who would hit his girlfriend. You have to stop him from getting physical in any way during arguments. Let him know that what he is doing is wrong and unacceptable and if he does not listen or understand then in my opinion he will be abusive.

That’s not acceptable at all I’m sorry. Arguments happen. Raising voices happen. But any sort of physical touch that is unwanted such as pushing is definitely not acceptable. I would suggest confronting him first saying he needs to stop (that may later turn abusive) if he says he will try but still doesn’t you need a new bf…

It already is because its using force to get somthing sure in this case its just to talk but thats still a red flag lol

You lost me at he pushes you.. Never ever acceptable for either side to lay hands on the other during an argument.. Leave him while you can it will only get worse.

If his push hurts you or if he's aggressive while pushing then it's not good. But otherwise he does that to talk to you and solve the issue that's there. So it's fine
