I don't call 4 years a long term relationship. That was something that was basically just getting started in longevity terms. Maybe it is considered long term by a serial dater, I don't know.

I would say pretty normal.
She or he may have wanted to get married, or buy a house, have a kid, and the other party didn't, or change of job, had to move, there could be all sorts of reasons why it ended.
