I’ve been dating this guy for around a month and we went out three times. His birthday was yesterday, so I told him we can go out sometime this week so I can treat him to something. He said ‘sure, maybe Thursday or Friday, because I have midterms all week and next week but we can go out for some time.’ I told him sure, how about Thursday at 7?
He took a couple of hours to reply, and he said ‘Let me confirm because I’m not sure whether I’ll be free or not on Thursday. Because University is being extremely draining.’ I said ‘Ok, tell me when it suits you’ and left it at that.
To top it off, we haven’t really talked these past 2 days, only when I wished him happy birthday. Does he sound legit busy, or is it just an excuse? I know midterms can be draining in his major and that he’s ranked 2nd so he obviously cares about grades, but why did he suggest Thursday if he’s not sure about it? Do I just give him space or forget him?
