How do I get him to ask me if I want to hang out instead of me always seeing if he is free?

I am have been talking to a guy for a while now. At first it was him and I taking equal turns with asking each other to hang. He went away for a job for 4 months then came back. Now since he has gotten back it seems like I am the only one asking if he is free and wants to hang out vs him asking him. Yes, his roommate did move back and he just started a new job but it's starting to bother me. How do I get him to ask me instead of me always asking him?

Stop texting him. Wait to see if he'll ever text you back again if he doesn't he's not interested. If he does it depends on the way he texts. If he texts where he wants your constant attention then he just wants the ego boost without commitment. If he misses talking to you and he doesn't want to lose you then that's when you tell him it's a two way street and hope he changes his wishy-washy behavior. Good luck.
