In this one case, I'd say it's equal regarding who they're attracted to. Women require more things in men (Height, fit body, handsome face, race, etc), while most men really only care about one thing in women; their body/weight, but will be more harsh if a woman doesn't have a hot body.

But in regards to who puts more work into their own physical appearance, then definitely women. They don't really make high heels, corsets, or makeup for men.

I care of my look (not at metrosexual level) and like girls that like to beautify themselves. A girl with no interest or taste in style, looks, fashion, make up and accessories seems pretty boring to me.

I care about mine a lot! So I voted for guys. In my circle, lots more of us guys care about our athletic prowess than girls.

Women don't seem to care so much if they get fat and out of shape in my experience. It's okay because we find them cute that way. But if guy is weak, fat, out of shape, it is not cute. It is fail.
