My boyfriend gets on dating apps and hookup apps because he gets lonely. He doesn’t do anything but text people and the last couple of times he promises that he didn’t talk to anyone just downloaded them and then deleted them. I have forgiven him 5 times and he has just done it again and I’m having a hard time forgiving him and starting to trust him again. We have only been together for 2 years and I’m in so much pain. But I love him. I want a guys pov on this and to hear what the girls have to say.

I broke up with him and he told me that I was in the wrong and I gave up on the relationship and I was a horrible girlfriend and now refuses to let me see our shared dog.

- You're enabling him. Had you dumped him the 1st time, he'd only done it once with you.

- My opinion is you love him AND/OR a sense of normalcy more than you love yourself.

He doesn't value the time he has with you. He doesn't love himself and he doesn't know what he wants, most importantly, he doesn't care/understand his decisions impacts other people.

His actions say he's not your boyfriend. Drop him and let yourself heal. This is not normal behavior.

He keeps doing it because you keep forgiving him, but he probably isn't going to stop regardless of how you respond. After two years, if he is not firmy committed to you, then it is never going to happen.

I'm sorry to hear that he responded in that way but I;m als not surprised. It sounds as if he has trouble understanding how his behavior impacts other people and therefore accepts no responsibility for this situation. You can never covince him that he is wrong and he will never confess to you that he made a mistake.

The three little words that make relationships work are. . . "I was wrong." You will have conflicts in any relationship; they are inevitable. When they do arise, can you both admit to your share of the blame and try to make changes or will one or both of you persist in denial?

Learn a few lessons from this guy and move forward. One lesson concerns how many chances you gave him and he only continued doing the same thing. Next time, try a different reaction.

End the relationship. He keeps doing it cuz he thinks he will keep getting away with it, if he wanted to talk to people and he could use other sites not dating" ones. Why can't he talk to you? He's going to keep getting bolder and bolder with his actions and it's going to hurt you in the end not him. There are guys that would respect and care for you the way you should be treated. Don't settle.
