I wouldn't trust another girl helping me. First of all girls will say "oh you look good in that dress", "you can do anything you want", "he's lucky to have you" and variations which are all BS. It is very rare for a girl to be completely honest, fear of hurting the other, I don't know. This is only my experience though.

Oh, and I know you didn't ask this, but I think guys helping girls and vice versa are more helpful, as you know your own gender better so you can help out the other.

Yes, it's obviously easier for girls to get sex but do their girl friends help them landing a high quality guy with the best intention in mind? Maybe but I don't think they're that good at making a huge difference.

I also agree with your last point. That's a big perk of having friends of the opposite gender, but I know for some people it's tricky because they could end up catching feelings themselves.

Many of those guys are just saying that. In my case it's 2 options. I might be hideous, or they actually chicken out when someone shows a little interest because they are insecure a lot or I don;t know.
And most girls I know would not have sex with any guys. My girl friends would wait with sex for months with their boyfriend.
These girls in the clubs are not the average girls I am talking about.
Who is the average girl for you?
Re your question, I would probably only trust in a girl helping me out if she was in a relationship.

@squaresquirrel Good insight there. However I noticed women are more preoccupied about what their “friends” think of the guy. They also cock block one another.

Sometimes this is done in good faith (if the guy is being aggressive or obviously creepy) But I can’t tell you how many times in my college and post college years I’ve just gotten in polite conversation with an attractive girl at a social event or a bar/club and her ugly ass “friend” pulls her away. Why do girls cave in to what their “friends” want when it’s often just jealousy?

@globetrotter22 yes, it can be jealousy, fear of being alone, controlling behaviour. But sometimes it is plainly caring about the friend.
I remember one time my mate was really hammered and she started being very handsy with the guy. Me and my other mate pulled her away and put her in a taxi, as we didn't want her to do anything she would regret. Yeah, cockblocked the guy but we were all in the same circle, so we knew if he really wanted her, they will meet again and she can make a sober-ish decision about having sex.

I think it really depends, but I kinda want to say girls.

This guy and his group of friends were walking infront of me and one guy turned around, walks towards me and says hi, then realises he can’t exactly walk back towards his friends and walks off. So his friends started talking to me, cracking up laughing and said ‘that’s my friend RJ, want his snap’ I said no because I had a boyfriend.

The second time they saw me, his friends told me he doesn’t care if I had a boyfriend, and were acting like real douchebags, making me super uncomfortable. So I told them to leave me alone and the poor guy who wanted my snap, pushed them all away from me.

So yeah, shitty wingman’s. They started harassing me, following me around and making me uncomfortable. I’ll give that guy credit though, as soon as I said they were scaring me, he made his friends leave.

It depends really, just don't ask a Tarryn to be your wingwoman, they make excuses not to help you in being a wingwoman, not trying to discriminate against anyone who is named Tarryn, but the Tarryn type is just the worst, IK from experience of dealing with my cousin who ironically is named and is a Tarryn.

But when it comes down to it, a wingman/wingwoman is that friend you need to help you meet new people, and you help them too, and as long as you both get along and enjoy one another's company, your wingman/wingwoman will have fun spending time with you. Just make sure they're not a Barney Stinson, those types of wingmans tend to be full of shiz.

Tough question. in my opinion they're equally bad. Guys especially younger guys tend to hate passive aggressively the most common example is by saying or doing something in front of the girl that embarrasses the guy. "Hey you're the 1st girl we've ever seen him w/ etc"
Girls typically work on the premise of one hooks up we all hook up. So they will just blatantly hate. The grab your girl and pull her away while she's talking to the cute guy strategy. Just had this happen recently in Phoenix.

When this happened in Phoenix a girl CB'd her drunk friend while she was talking to this other guy. My best friend and I are great wingwomen for eachother because we have completely different taste in guys and we never need to worry about whether the other is secretly wanting them too and we're genuinely trying to help. honestly i don't think wing woman/ wingman really works most of the time. Because the reality is that when you're trying to approach a stranger who doesn't know you, he / she will judge you based off your looks 95% of the time. A girl / guy can make a decision of whether or not they are interested in you within less than 30 seconds. No amount of talking / getting to know each other will change that. The trick about being a good wing man is to get past the meet and greet then disappear. Too many wing men, think they are good wing men, but the are not they hang round and draw attention away from their buddy.
