Should I initiate a date after a pause?

Met him on tinder and started dating for about 3 weeks. He then had to go on a business trip. While on the trip our communication was not often, however he sent photo of a beautiful place he was. When he returned he didn't initiate a date and then after a couple of days went for another trip too. The communication was rare too, but he also initiated contact by sending photo. When he came back he didn't sent a single message and when I texted him he responded with great dely. He also sent a text after a couple of days without proposing a date. Our communication is practically inexistent now, he only responded hearts in my fb story but replied after 11 hours in message I sent him afterwards. Is there a pause or did he lose interest? If he didn't care why would he sent 5 hearts on a story? Should I ask him out or would I look needy?

1. You don't measure a potential relationship by how many emojis someone uses.

2. I would guess that he is in the early stages with someone else, prefers them, but wants to keep you on the line in case he and the other girl do not work out together. You are just the backup plan.

Why don't you ask him how he feels? You could ask him for clarity. Maybe he's super busy at the moment and is in no position to talk a lot. Or maybe he has lost interest. You won't be able to find that answer here. I think communication is everything and you have nothing to lose here, so might aswell ask him the questions you're having :)

I don't think women should feel shame when making the first move.

It doesn't make you look needy but it shows that you're not afraid to ask for what you want. And if you want him then I think you should go for it.

Don't fear rejection because it's a part of life and hopefully he will return your feelings.
