I don't see why? You went on a date, just a date right? I mean if you two made commitments to each other already then there's an issue... maybe, or maybe it could be like a cousin or sister.

But if this is like one of those scenarios where they both swipe yes to each other, agree to "netflix'n'chill, and you know what happens during that. It happens for a couple of weekends. Then the text doesn't come, she texts, he says he has other plans. She finds out he was taking another girl on a date, and they had sex. She flips out about it. He has to explain that there was no commitment, it was just sex. She assumed that sex equated to commitment.
So could it be like the scenario I just laid out? I would need more details to pinpoint exactly what's going on.

Liking each other isn't a commitment though... he could sleep with 2 other girls at once right now, and you'd have no justifiable right to be mad at him for doing so. It is what it is.

It's the set terms and conditions that have been mutually agreed upon, in the form of a verbal contract usually. e. g. I'm agreeing to a friends with benefits's situationship, I would usually set the terms at if she has sex with someone else, just let me know, and my reasoning is I'm not going to have sex with someone that's had sex with someone else because STI or STD reasons. But she's totally free to chase a dude if she suddenly feel that dude is boyfriend material. Vice versa as well of course. (That's pretty much what I've mutually agreed upon)

If you two have not agreed to be mutually exclusive... don't expect mutual exclusiveness.

Often it's nothing at all. It's social media. Unless you find out about some relationship they have or had, it's a woman that's getting attention and nothing more (happens 24/7). Chances are they don't even know each other.

Probably not. You see it all the time, even on this site. You also didn't mention what his comment was, which could make a difference. But assuming it was a general every day social media comment you see all the time, I mean, I've got heart replies on this site many times, and I don't know anybody, never mind met them in person or have any type of relationship with.

I just wouldn't jump to any conclusions that's all. You can keep an eye out for future signs, or if you hear any more information about them, like they know each other or something. But my guess is it's nothing.
