Should I avoid a stubborn guy?

We chat every day and been on two dates. He told me he is really stubborn. I have been in a relationship with a stubborn guy and it was hell on earth.

Personally, no.

I've never seen a time when a guy describes himself as "stubborn" that DOESN'T mean he always thinks he's right and has a hard time adapting.

Stubborn isn't - to me - a nice trait. It's often a euphemism for immaturity and a fear of growth and self-reflection.

I looked at the extra context required, 'stops speaking if things don't go his way'. He's childish. Yes, avoid. Unless if he stops speaking, you stop as well and see if he cracks, especially for something stupid. That would make for a good test.

Nothing wrong in being stubborn until proven wrong. The only reason to hate living with a stubborn person, is if you are a manipulator. Because you clearly don't accept his opinion and if he is stubborn you can't change it. So it really show a red flag in you.
