It depends on your schedule. If it's due to him being genuinely busy then it's understandable. My ex lived an hour and a half away but he works a lot. We only saw each other about twice a month. I was in grad school but we stayed in contact and expressed missing each other often. It was harder to build a relationship but we treasured the time we had when we were together. If it starts to bother you I encourage you to express that feeling to him and see what actions he takes.
