Is it normal my boyfriend only wants to see me once or twice a week? He texts me every day but is this usually normal?

My boyfriend usually texts me every day, but usually only wants to meet up like twice a week. He kisses me once whenever I leave. He’s out doing projects every day. If I ask him to meet up more than a few times a week, such as on the weekend, or on a trip, he’s always polite but declines so he can work instead.

However, he goes out with his friends all the time. And sometimes I find out he’s been working but was just fooling around instead or didn’t get much done.

I haven’t brought it up yet but is this normal for guys? To just need this much space or time? I keep myself occupied during the week with friends, activities, jobs, but still find myself lonely. Once I called him crying for help & he didn’t offer to come by or anything, was just very calm. Advice taken.

It's not normal at all. I was in the same situation as you, except I ended up sticking with him for 3 more years. Full of regrets. I think I was feeling guilty because I had already introduced him to my family. A lot of people say "if he wanted to, he would."

@idkwhatidk This makes total sense!! It’s hard bc every tells me he’s an introvert. So I just leave him alone. It’s hard bc I’m def an extrovert so I feel crazy. I appreciate this tho to know I’m not only one out here

He might be busy. Once or twice a week is fine. How long does he live. She lives 300km away from me and we see only once in 2 months !!

To me, 1-2x a week is normal if you guys are already texting/calling each other every day.

I do think there is a potential red flag when he himself isn't open to seeing you more often. I mean he could be busy in the weekdays and might value his me time, but its weird to shut it down.

I totally agree! I’m honestly fine with 1/2 times a week. The thing is there’s usually not even like much quality time when I do see him like he’s often on the computer or distracted. He’s just never like “eager” to see me it’s more like “you can come over if you want” etc? Agree tho. It’s weird he’ll accept offers from friends but not me
