Most women don't do this, just as most men don't. You can change the phrase to men in their 20s play, men in 30s... etc. Might change the age range to men in their 50s pay because of the biological clock issue if a woman wants children... or the age prejudice against women based on the biological clock issue that catches up to men about a decade later.

I think this type of mindset shows a lot about your bitterness towards women. Typically, if a woman doesn't have kids in her 40s, its usually because she never really wanted kids. Because the reality is, if a woman truly wanted kids, she could have them on her own, without a husband. Its the single men in their 40s who need to pray for children because vast majority of young women in their 20s to early 30s aren't looking for a guy in his 40s. Sorry to say that but its true.

It's true. The ones that sleep around in their 20s hope that as they approach 30 they can find some desperate sucker to be with. For me the opposite is true I wanted to get married and have children in my life. Nope. First dates should always be "Dutch." I've never liked the idea that a man pays when I don't know him. Puts forth the idea that I "owe" him something. If he has a bad time, he's been cheated. If I have a bad time, I feel awkward. When we pay for ourselves, no one loses. Meet over coffee and it's pennies on the dollar, during daylight so everyone sees exactly what the other looks like, in public, so it's safe and easy to leave if nothing goes well.
I've very surprized that young women have this "men should pay" attitude. Women are making more money and are getting closer to economic parity with men in similar jobs.
And what can be equally nice about meeting in an inexpensive place and having a GOOD time is one of the other person can snap up the bill and be gregarious. I had that happen on a particularly good first date over breakfast at a teeny, inexpensive diner. And I had the money to pay for myself.
