Would you prefer someone approach you when you are in a group or prefer if they come say hi when you are alone?

Does it make a difference if you are alone when someone tries to break the ice? And if you prefer either why is that. Have you noticed more try when you are alone or not?

It depends on what you have to say, and how well you know me. If you're literally just saying "Hi." then it doesn't matter.
If you want to chat, and you approach a group, then you should chat with the group. If you want to speak to just me, then wait until I'm alone, or invite me to have a drink to get me alone. (I'm assuming that we're at a party.) It's rude to have a one-on-one conversation while other people are present.

If you already know me, and you just want to invite me to something real quick, then it doesn't matter. Like, "Hey, you want to see a movie." And I may say, "Yeah. Get my number from Stacie." Done. Just text me after that.

I don't know which one happens to me more. I think more often when I'm in a group, but that's probably because I'm not sitting alone at parties. But guys talk to me everywhere and often. In the bus, on the corner, in the supermarket, walking on the sidewalk, in class, in the hallways, waiting in line at restaurants, in traffic...

And because guys talk to you often, you seem comfortable having them walk up to you either way. How would you signal a guy you liked to approach you?

It depends on the venue and situation, but I generally would not. I like people to come to me. It's a power thing.

But on the occasion that I do approach someone, I either walk up to them and start a conversation about what they are doing after our current event, or if I have the time, I show off a bit. I sit on furniture or lean against a wall or pillar across from them, then I make sure that they see me from different angles: bent over from the back, squatting from the back, the front of my body and my breasts, my side profile and my legs/figure, and a few smiles.

If they still don't approach me after that, depending upon whether we are acquainted or not, I introduce myself and ask what they're getting into after our current venue. If they don't have anything to do, I find or make a party, and that's where we go.

I’d rather have someone approach me when I’m alone (unless they’re creepy). Being in a group would definitely change the way I respond to certain things and I’d much rather prefer to have my undivided attention towards whatever the person has to say. (If that makes sense)

I mean, I think it depends on the location- if someone came up to me while I was alone walking then I might be slightly creeped out but if they immediately start flirting or something then I’m probably going to want to leave

I really only prefer talking to a group of girls.

i avoid like the plague talking to a girl on her own, or when her mate pops to the bar.

also I feel it makes the girl very defensive (rightly so) when you approach her when she’s on her own.

it’s also more fun chatting to a group of girls as you have more to chat to and flirt with.

If I'm in a group it's a least a sign that I'm trying to be social. If I'm alone then it's a toss up, but I'll at least be more likely to flirt.

i feel like a lot of guys speak to women in a way that is cocky or condescending when they are trying to flirt and when that fails they often get really defensive which can be a really scary to witness
(i know it sounds weird but trust me). So my best advice is just remember you are a stranger, so be respectful with the questions and try not to feel entitled to the persons time or answers. Your ability to respect our boundaries will make us feel safer <3
