Why do people rush into relationships?

What’s the deal? When do you normally meet someone face to face? Right now, I’m not seeking a relationship with anyone because I’m just getting back in the dating world after being single damn there 8-9 years. I’m testing the waters and keeping it casual right now.

I feel I shouldn’t meet a man unless I’m plan on dating and right now that’s not an option. So when men approach me they’re being friend zoned and I’m telling them I’m not rushing into anything. I’m not here to waste anyone’s time and do majorly investing if I barely know the person.

I don’t know why people want to rush into relationships nowadays and never start off of as friends.. I can never be friends with men unless they have the expectations of something else.

Because relationships are nice. There doesn't have to be an expectation or guarantee of something else. Companionship with someone cute and sexy that you adore and are proud to be with; a best friend to go places and do things with; human touch; passion and sex are all good reasons to seek a relationship.

I think that if two people meet, get to know each other and like each other enough to date exclusively, that's enough to have a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship and start engaging in sex. You see how things go from there.

At your age, it’s less likely you will just randomly meet a person and then slowly build a relationship until you finally start dating. I think that expectation is unrealistic. Most people single and willing to date in their 30s are specifically looking for someone for that purpose. To them, they don’t feel like they have much time before it’ll be too late, though that’s not really true. That’s why I think people rush into relationships at your age.
