Boyfriend yelled at me when I went into my hotel room and he saw my key card was defective. Is he being rude?

Me and my boyfriend are on vacation but sleep separately. He stays at his parents house and I stay at a hotel. He picks me up ans drops me back because he is the only one with a car. He is borrowing his family car. He and the hotel staff warned me not to put my phone near my hotel key card because it would become defective. I accidentally put the two close together. When he dropped me to my hotel room he saw my card wasn't working on the door. He yelled at me as he walked back to his car saying "You're gonna have to get a new one tomorrow!" He didn't say his usual love you or goodbye. Tonight he texted me saying he was gonna pick me up at 1030 and that it was my one chance to sleep in. I responded saying Ok. Then he said "Love you too! Sleep well." Do you think he was being rude?

That’s absolutely crap who pays for that hotel when my girlfriend came to visit me from the other part of the state she came right to my house

It depends how long you’ve known him and if you’re really truly in love he might just be cranky and didn’t mean it
