I went on a date with this guy i met online. I had an amazing time it was so fun but the downside is i’m not physically attracted to him what’s so ever. I would say i’m a 8 and he’s a 4 on a good day. I would think his looks would grow onto me but right now i don’t feel attracted to him. We are planning on hanging out again do i proceed or……?

He is only 4 and you are 8 on physical looks. In that case, you are close to being called as gorgeous whereas he is only average, even below average on looks.

That being said, you are right to think you are not attracted to him at the moment. Yes physical attraction is important, those who say it is not then they are lying. Hence this is subjective, some people give lots of importance to looks, physical beauty/attraction and some give little importance to this.

Another point, who knows this guy might have an excellent personality. He may be 9/10 on personality and eventually this personality will matter to you more than his looks.

If you are a person who gives equal importance to both looks and personality together then then most logical option for you would be to stop it here itself. I mean don't take things forward with him. Just decline his offer to meet.

If you want a man who is 8/10 on looks and 8/10 in personality, then you should go for what you believe you truly deserve.

I sincerely think you should understand first of all if you’re somewhat attracted to him. If you’re only pleased by his way of acting but you’re not affectioned and he physically is repellent, I think you should avoid planning with him anymore.

On the other hand, if you’re attracted to him in a mental way and you’ve developed an affection, you can try continuing this relationship but if it doesn’t evolve and if you don’t develop also a physical attraction, I suggest you to say that to him as soon as possible, in order to clarify and to have no misunderstandings.

There needs to be a balance, in a relationship. It’s ok to have an entente or to have a mental attraction but the physical part has a role, especially at this age. It can decay when you grow up older and the relationship stabilises but in early stages it’s important to have both type of attraction.

I don’t date the girl if I’m not attracted to her. When you hang out with a person that you aren’t attracted to, you just feel like you’re hanging out with a friend. And yes sometimes attraction can grow, but only if there’s attraction there to begin with.

Physical attraction is important. That can build over time, however like a fire, there needs to be a spark there to start it. If you feel nothing, in my personal experience that won't change, no matter how much you like them otherwise. Which means ultimately you won't be happy with him. You can give it one more date if you want just to "confirm it" for you, but if you still have nothing, I wouldn't waste your time (or his). He can be great in all other ways, but ultimately you won't be happy with him and not what you want.
