He canceled our first meeting. Should I dial it back/become skeptical?

This guy was supposed to be meeting me this weekend. He seemed interested the entire time we talked on the phone getting to know each other. He is from another state and he offered to fly me out but I preferred not to do that. I told him to come to my state instead to meet me. He has some family here so he said he would come and stay with them while he was here. He was also coming to see his grandfather for Father’s Day and would be staying with him during the weekend while he visited. I took the whole weekend off work and he texted me this morning saying that he would be arriving tommorow morning. But earlier today around like 4 o’clock he told me that he had called his grandfather to tell him that he was coming to visit and that his grandpa said that he was going to the other state to be with his family for Father’s Day. So the plan was basically canceled because it’s a lot to ask that he don’t see his family on Father’s Day and also he could get a hotel but he said it would be weird if he wasn’t with his family on Father’s Day. So I understood and I don’t blame him. But I’m still disappointed and I don't know if this counts as me being stood up or not
