Basically. But up until fertility starts to drop. Then you'll likely see them settle with a good guy or less of a bad boy.

I imagine it's this way because bad boys tend to have higher levels of testosterone & they tend to be more competent in looks, money, status, etc. Reminds me of something someone said:

People don't get taller simply because they play basketball. They play basketball because they're tall. And to be tall, you usually have to have good genetics, somewhat healthier eating & lifestyle which will translate to having an adequate amount of testosterone during developmental ages, etc.

So it's not as simple as them liking bad boys because they're bad. Its that bad boys often have many other traits they're biology is attracted to. It always goes deeper.

Girls are similar to guys in this respect. Guys want to fuck the sluts and the girls who dress in CFM clothes and shoes. But when it comes time to get married they want a nice girl who respects herself and has a low body count.

Girls are very sexually attracted to "bad boys", but when it comes time to find a husband most don't want the bad boys... they want a nice guy who is stable and earns a good income. But it's always the bad boys who make their panties wet.

In my observation girls seem to like exactly the type of guy who I wouldn't hire because they are arrogant and would be disruptive in a team environment. The type of guy who thinks his decision is right and better than anybody else's simply because he made it. As I like to say it takes arrogance to be truly stupid.
