New "nice guy" question?

I know this has probably been asked a thousand times, but I'm asking again. I recently had a run in with another "nice guy" who I gave the benefit of the doubt and was right in my convictions. Big nope. Recently started talk to a new guy who seems pretty chill, easy going, upbeat. We agree on a lot but I honestly haven't brought anything up to disagree on. Etc. He's pretty built but doesn't act like a muscle head, he's a sales guy, very understanding of my trust issues.

The thing is he's constantly reassuring. Every time I'm telling him how I am and act with my social issues, he's always saying "I'm very understanding" "I'm a nice guy" "I'm a genuine guy" "I can't wait to show you that I'm a respectful guy". I get he's trying to ease my worries, but it seems like a bit much.. any thoughts?

Yeah, its never a good idea to go out of your way to do anything for a women or try any harder then you should have to get a women to trust you... so yeah the guy seems to be over compensating.

See when you met a women with real trust issues, and deep rooted insecurities over trust you have to remind yourself constantly... she not ever going to trust you. See everything you do to gain trust can be taken as you trying gain trust just so you can fool her into trusting you... or if you don't do enough she will think you're not trust worthy because you don't seem to care enough. So you can't ever expect to make someone with deep rooted insecurities happy... because it honestly all about their insecurities and until they take responsibility for that on their own there is literally nothing a guy can do. You will always be trying too hard or not hard enough... like there is an exact right amount of effort.

He's a sales guy and giving you a sales pitch. Unfortunately he doesn't sound like a good salesmen.

A good product should sell itself. A salesman should only need to present the product and let the features speak for themselves.

He’s just a liar. Genuinely respectful and understanding people don’t brag about being so. I sometimes tell people I do what I can to be an open minded gentleman when we’ve basically just met, but I certainly never consistently bring it up again.

Actions over words. He may be right but over time you will have disagreements and how does he react in those times. You sound like you are not trusting him already, any reasons why?

You're absolutely right. No particular reason, it just seemed excessive how he kept saying it. I don't trust or distrust him. We have a date tomorrow so I guess we shall see how it goes from there.

Be optimistic on your date and enjoy the time. Even if he’s full of it and he is lying you can still get to know him a bit and learn more about yourself. Whatcha doing on the date?
