Honestly it depends on the couple and who has the power in the relationship.
By power I mean which partner is more attractive. The less attractive one usually loves the more attractive one more, and is willing to put up with a lot and still fight for the relationship to work.
I was with a hot woman so I know all about loving her almost unconditionally, and feeling like she wasn't loving me the same.
