The reason is because when the man is invested more, she gets bored quicker and eventually will get tired and want to move on. But when the girl is more invested, it annoys her but keeps her interested. She wants her partners attention but he's not giving to her and even gives her mixed signals. She hates it but wants him more now. And he'll keep it like that because the relationship works better like that
No, that would result in a dramatic and chaotic relationship. She’ll be miserable, think he’s cheating or not investing enough into the relationship and driven into ”crazy” behavior as a direct result of his behavior (the coldness, hot and cold, not enough attention etc) until either the guy gets fed up and can’t be bothered to deal with her anymore and leaves or until one day the girl falls out of love and leave or finally realize she can never be happy with him. The sort of behavior is effective in keeping a woman around for a while, absolutely, it’s causing trauma bonding and that’s hard to break out of, BUT will it create a well functioning relationship? Absolutely not.
The opposite, where the man is a door mat och love her way more than she loves him also won’t work as yes, she’ll eventually leave him because she’s not attracted to him (anymore). A good balance is key, both need to love each other, be attracted and feel like they don’t want to lose the other. Like there’s nobody they’d rather be with. They both need to be ”the prize”. And of course also prepared to put in the work to make the relationship last.

If I could give a man an advice it would be always go for a woman who admires you more.
Because a woman who you love but who doesn’t share that love back can ruin your life and that will be well deserved.
It is indicating the girl has the best deal she can get so she will treat him better.

I take it you never heard the quote 'a woman can grow to love a man, but a man either loves you from the start or doesn't'
Let me guess, you are single, right?
