How to comfort your girlfriend?

My girlfriend has her IUD replacement a few days ago she's been having period symptoms off and on which is normal. She's been bleeding some her lower stomach has been cramping and she's been having headaches. This is why she got an IUD because of her bad periods she doesn't remember having this last time. Her doctor said she maybe having it for a week or two. How can I comfort her?
